"Honestly, it was exhilarating," Jackson said.

"I didn't think that flag football was going to be taken seriously," she said. "Now, that I'm coming here and I'm seeing all these schools, like, they're practically begging me to like, have money from them."

The showcase featured drills and 7-on-7 competition in front of 35 college coaches looking to recruit talent.

"So, how many offers did you have before you came here and how many offers are you leaving with?" ABC13 sports producer Joe Gleason asked.

"Honestly, before I came here, I only had one (scholarship offer)," Jackson said. "But I when I left here, I think I have like five offers."

Jackson stood out on the field and was pulled aside several times to talk to coaches to learn about opportunities to play flag football collegiately and possibly get a free education.

"I want to be a veterinarian," she said. "So whatever school has it, I would love to join them and keep expanding that becoming a doctor or whatever I need to do."

The Texans and owner Hannah McNair have poured into flag football, urging the UIL to recognize it as a sanctioned sport.

"We almost have triple the amount of girls and colleges here today," Brett Stewart, the Texans director of youth football development, said. "Hopefully, the UIL will see that this needs to be a sanctioned sport here in the state of Texas. And for us, we want to continue to push to make Texas next."

"I hope that they keep doing this in H-Town," Shiloh said. "I just want them to help out all the girls like, you know, let them do their dream."
