Most of the Reedley men's golf team isn't from California.
In fact, most of the Tigers aren't even from this country.

The team jokes they're the "United Nations" Tigers, with their 14 players representing nine different countries.
"I don't understand what they're saying a lot of times because if they're in their native tongue, they could be talking about me," says coach Scott Stark.
Golfers coming from places like Germany, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands are experiencing America for the first time, living in the Central Valley.
"Just being able to play golf all year is a great option," says Phillip Kjellander. "Then I met coach and the team, It's a perfect fit."
The program at Reedley College draws international talent because of its storied history.
"We sell the tradition that we have here with 11 straight conference championships -- 19 in my 20 years as a head golf coach," Stark said.
"I knew we were good with all the trophies and everything they have won, but I didn't know we were this good," says Leopoldo Eisner.
"Definitely the records, the opportunity to win," says Nicholas Gerow. "Nothing is given here. You have to earn a spot on the team, earn a spot in the lineup."
With such a diverse group, the guys are learning about new cultures.
The Tigers have been runner-up at state for the last two seasons, hoping talent from nine different countries can come together as one unit and bring the championship back to Reedley.
