CB – Devon Witherspoon (Pine Forest HS)
The Pensacola native proved, once again, to be one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He was electric in the Seahawks 29-13 win in Super Bowl LX posting three QB hits and a sack. Witherspoon went from a great player to an elite playmaker this season. Not only did he get named to his third Pro-Bowl in three seasons, but he was named an All-Pro for the first team in his career. Despite missing five games in the regular season due to an injury, he accounted for 72 total tackles and seven pass breakups. He was also third on the team during the postseason in total tackles with 17.
LB – Derick Hall (Gulfport HS)
The former Auburn star also saved one of his best performances for last. Hall registered two sacks on Patriots quarterback Drake Maye including one that led to the game’s first turnover. Hall didn’t have a quiet season as a backup edge rusher, but he played big in bigger games. He accounted for two sacks in 14 games during the regular season. Hall had two sacks and a forced fumble in the Super Bowl as he was a key player of the Seahawks’ famed “Dark Side” defense.
CB – Nehemiah Pritchett (Jackson HS)
Pritchett was a serviceable backup at cornerback, playing in all 17 games. The former Aggie accounted for 14 total tackles, with 11 being solo tackles. Both of his pass breakups this season came in the 44-22 Week 10 home win over the Arizona Cardinals.
RB/WR – Velus Jones Jr. (Saraland)
The former Spartan was a part of a talented, deep running back group for the Seahawks. In three regular seasons played, he rushed for 32 yards and a first down on four carries. He saw action in the Seahawks’ 41-6 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional round. He had a pro career-high six carries for 10 yards and had a tackle on special teams.
LB – Jamie Sheriff (South Alabama)
Sheriff saw action on the field for the Super Bowl-winning team. Sheriff played 15 special teams snaps in the 30-24 Week 12 road win over the Tennessee Titans, where he accounted for a solo tackle.
