Police say the suspects fled eastbound on Highway 7.
Police say they were driven to the plaza in a white Audi SUV, which was later seen at a plaza near Ringwood Dr. and Main St. in Whitchurch-Stouffville at around 3:30 a.m.
“Again, two suspects were observed smashing the front door of a business and attempting to ignite a fire using an accelerant,” police said.
Three photos were released with one showing the suspect vehicle and two of the suspects involved.
Fires ‘self-extinguished’
In both incidents, police say the buildings were unoccupied, and the fires were “self-extinguished,” with no injuries reported.
Police say they are seeking at least three suspects, as the driver of the Audi was not seen exiting the vehicle at either location.
The first suspect is described as wearing a dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt, track pants, white shoes, and grey gloves.
The second suspect is described is wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, and white gloves.
No description was provided for the third suspect.
