Rondale Moore, former Arizona Cardinals WR and Purdue standout, dies at age 25

In absolutely heartbreaking news, reports emerged Saturday that former Arizona Cardinals receiver Rondale Moore is dead at age 25, according to multiple reports. His death was confirmed by the New Albany, Ind. police chief Todd Bailey. Moore was reportedly found in a garage, but very few details are available at this time.

There will be an autopsy on Sunday, and Moore’s cause of death is under investigation.

Moore was a standout and All-American at Purdue University before being drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Over three seasons in Arizona, he contributed 1201 receiving yards, 249 rushing yards, and four touchdowns over his three seasons with the Cardinals.

Jeff Brohm, the head football coach at the University of Louisville who coached Moore with the Boilermakers, shared a statement via WLKY.

“Rondale Moore was a complete joy to coach. The ultimate competitor that would never back down to any challenge. Rondale has a work ethic that was unmatched by anyone. A great teammate that would come through in any situation. we all loved Rondale and we loved his smile and competitive edge that always wanted to please everyone he came in contact with. We offer all of our thoughts and prayers to Rondale and his family and we love him very much!!!”
