Ravens' head coach and OC haven't talked to an important free agent
· Yahoo Sports
The Isaiah Likely era is set to end in Baltimore, and nothing emphasizes finality like silence from the head coach and offensive coordinator. The talented tight end was a guest on the Up and Adams Show with Kay Adams, where he discussed his relationship with Lamar Jackson and his expectations for free agency.
During their discussion, Adams asked Likely if he had spoken to first-year offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. Likely made it clear he hadn't spoken to Doyle or the new head coach, Jesse Minter, only speaking to Baltimore's new tight ends coach, Zach Grossi. Last summer, Likely had his training camp derailed by a broken foot during a one-on-one drill amid reports that he was set to sign a new contract. He missed the start of the season and finished with 27 catches on 36 targets for 307 yards, all career lows. Likely's down season opened the door for Mark Andrews to return on a three-year $39.3 million extension with $26 million guaranteed.

His potential departure could see Baltimore target a tight end early, while Likely will have suitors on the open market, but there have been different views on how teams view the versatile pass catcher. Likely is a dynamic playmaker and was one of Jackson's most explosive targets. Since joining the Ravens as a 2022 fourth-round pick, he's had 1,568 yards and 15 TDs on 135 catches.
