The UFC bantamweight veteran feels he has a big edge in the endurance department, as he prepares to fight Rosas Jr. (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) on the main card of UFC 326 (Paramount+). The event takes place Saturday at T-Mobile Arena. Font (22-9 MMA, 12-8 UFC) thinks that as long as he doesn't make a big mistake in the fight, he should have the upper hand in the contest.
"I think he's going to be aggressive in the first two minutes," Font said, breaking down the fight at Wednesday's UFC 326 media day. "I think he's going to stand with me a lot more than what people give him credit for. I do think that he gets tired. I don't get tired in fights, even when I'm getting beat up, I still can push a pace. I believe he gets tired. I believe I'm going to be a lot more calm and collected when it gets chaotic in there. Yeah, I just have to make sure I don't give him anything, don't get clipped with anything stupid."
Font confirmed he's continuing to train in Canada at Tristar – Georges St-Pierre's former gym. This change is somewhat new, and he's been there for a few fights. He used to do his full camps with the New England Cartel.
"This camp was great," Font said. "I spent five and a half weeks in Montreal. There's nothing to do in the wintertime, just training, sleep, and back to training. They rolled the red carpet out for me in Tristar. They want to see me do well, obviously get my hand raised, and obviously, my brother Calvin (Kattar) is always out there taking care of. Yeah, it's been a great camp."
