The only WTA player to see her hit live in recent months is Alycia Parks.
That’s why the Tennis Channel wasted no time finding out what Parks knows about a potential Williams return when she stopped by the desk after her first round Miami Open win.

What Parks said about Serena
Parks hitting with Serena was not a one time occurrence. She explained that when she is home, she hits with Serena three times per week.
Alycia Parks also said that Serena is helping her with elements of her game, and she is reaping the benefits during her matches. She cited examples of being patient in rallies and with hitting patterns.
As for the Million Dollar question of if or when Williams is returning, Alycia Parks says that she does not know. Her return is not a topic that comes up when they are hitting and working together.
The only intel Parks shared is that Serena is extremely fit and hitting the ball well.

What it means
It sounds like this relationship between Parks and Williams has been ongoing and not just a result of Serena pondering a return. Serena’s ex-coach Rick Macci speculated that she would come back during the Sunshine Double. That obviously is not happening.
The Enquirer/Cara Owsley Serena Williams became the first player to repeat as Western & Southern champion since it became a Women?s Tennis Association event in 2004. Serena Williams defeated Simona Halep, 6-3, 7-6 (5) in the Western and Southern Open finals at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason on Sunday August 23, 2015.
When and if Serena comes back has been the hottest topic of the 2026 tennis season. Even Novak Djokovic has speculated on the circumstances of her return. He then said she is wise not to share any details and to do what she wants when she wants.
