Hannah McNair receives an updated title with the Texans' foundation

Hannah McNair is adding a new title and duties with the Houston Texans in 2026.

The Texans announced Monday that McNair, who has served as vice president of the Houston Texans Foundation, was named the chief community officer. McNair will provide strategic and visionary leadership in plans to align with the club’s community initiatives with broader strategic business priorities, driving even greater impact across Houston and the region."

“I’m thrilled to be named Chief Community Officer because our community means so much to me,” McNair said in a statement. “Giving back has always been at the heart of who we are as an organization and that started with Bob and Janice. 

"We know that football changes lives and I'm excited about the new opportunities and support we will bring to the community as we continue to grow. As we enter this exciting chapter, I'm looking forward to the impact we will continue to make here at home and beyond."

A passionate advocate for women's and youth sports, McNair has been a leading voice in the effort to sanction girls flag football in the state of Texas. Under her leadership, the Texans' Girls Flag Football Program has experienced rapid growth since its launch in 2023. Today, the program includes more than 150 high schools and over 3,750 female athletes statewide.

In hopes of expanding their reach outside of the Greater Houston area, the Texans continue to expand deeper into Harris County, including building the groundbreaking new 83-acre headquarters called “Toro District" outside of the Bridgeland area. Part of McNair's duties will be to oversee the engagement surrounding the area while providing growth for other sporting events, including the initiatives for girls flag football and women’s volleyball tournaments.

A native Houstonian, McNair joined the Lady Texans, an organization comprised of the wives and significant others of Texans players, coaches and executives that supports the team and the Texans Foundation, in 2009.

Since 2002, the foundation has raised more than $51 million, using football to strengthen the community, support youth development, and break down barriers to essential resources.
