According to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein on Tuesday, UK assistant coach Jason Hart is moving on. Rothstein reported Hart will become the associate head coach at SMU, joining Andy Enfield's staff.

Hart worked for Enfield for eight seasons (2013-21) when the latter led Southern Cal's program.

Prior to becoming a member of Pope's initial staff in 2024, Hart spent three seasons as the head coach of the NBA's G League Ignite squad.

His stint with G League Ignite followed his eight-season run at USC. He was tabbed as an assistant coach in April 2023, then was promoted to associate head coach four years later. Hart served as an assistant coach at Pepperdine during the 2012-13 campaign.
