In a statement released Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that ICE found and detained 30-year-old Adrian Vincent Walker in Tupelo, Miss., on March 23. The case was part of the Homeland Security Task Force’s Operation Take Back America.
Walker is among Canada’s top 25 most wanted for murder and attempted murder. He faces U.S. charges of illegal entry and illegal possession of a firearm. He will be returned to Toronto to face his murder charges here. DHS says it doesn’t know when he entered the country.
“Thanks to the brave men and women of ICE, one of Canada’s most wanted criminals is behind bars. This illegal alien was wanted for a murder in Canada,” said acting assistant secretary Lauren Bis. “He is now facing charges for illegal entry into the U.S. and illegal possession of a firearm. DHS is grateful to our law enforcement officers and partners who took this illegal alien off of our streets and behind bars where he will finally face justice for his crimes.”
Toronto Police sought Walker
Toronto Police were on the hunt for Walker following a shooting in May of 2024 near Winona Dr. and Vaughan Rd. that killed 31-year-old Trevor Dalton John. Kemyan Franklin of Toronto was arrested and charged in that murder. Walker previously served more than three years in prison for aggravated assault.
Not the first Canadian
ICE has arrested Canadian criminals before. In 2019, it arrested and sent back to Canada Sebastian Rosales , a Canadian who entered the U.S. as a nonimmigrant visitor and had a long criminal history there. He was arrested on drug charges near a New Jersey School in 2017 and then in 2018 following another ICE operation. He was finally sent back to Montreal the following year, where he was wanted on a narcotics conviction.
