General manager and president of football operations Dan Morgan joined the set of Up & Adams from the NFL Annual League Meeting on Tuesday. When asked about a possible contract extension for Young, Morgan gave the 24-year-old passer a pretty strong endorsement.

"I think those are things that we're still talking through and trying to figure out the timing on," Morgan told host Kay Adams. "But Bryce is definitely part of our future plans and he's a big part of the future plans. And we're excited about where he's going."

This past season, Young helped lead Carolina to their first division crown since 2015 and their first playoff appearance since 2017. He did so while passing for career-bests in completion percentage (63.6), yards (3,011), touchdowns (23) and passer rating (87.8).

Morgan, as he did back in January, also stated that the Panthers will have Young under his fifth-year option for 2027. Per Over The Cap, the former No. 1 overall pick would be set to earn approximately $25.9 million for that fifth campaign.
