The golfers get a chance to work on their short game, but, unlike their usual caddies, they often enlist the help of their partners or children. With how family-friendly the event is, many of the "caddies" get the chance to hit shots, whether it be from the tee box or trying to nail important putts on the green.

Last year, Tommy Fleetwood's son Frankie was given the tough task of hitting a tee shot on No. 9 to end his dad's round. He had been practicing the shot, but had been unable to carry the water and land a ball on the green. The young Fleetwood's interview went viral for its heartwarming nature and his well-spoken words.

Here is more on Fleetwood's son Frankie going viral for his interviews.

Frankie Fleetwood at 2026 Masters Par-3 Contest

While the excitement of the Masters is plenty to look forward to already, the Par-3 Contest has become a fan favorite event. Frankie went viral in 2025 from his interviews and was back in 2026. He will once again attempt to clear the water on hole No. 9, but when he was asked about his upcoming attempt this year, he said he was "not so confident." In another interview with Laura Rutledge, Frankie said that if he were able to hit the green or even a hole in one, he would expect that he would walk the Augusta National course all weekend with his dad.

Fleetwood got two attempts on the ninth. He got a piece of his first attempt, but missed the green. Fleetwood then got a raucous applause from the crowd, and was allowed to attempt a second shot. His second was much closer to the green, but feel just short. Now all eyes will be on Fleetwood to land the green in 2027.
