Luckily for Penn, junior forward TJ Power was up for it.
Power scored 44 points, and hit a clutch, season-saving three with 2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, and Penn outlasted Yale 88-84 in the Ivy League championship game on Sunday.
Trevor Mullin led Yale with 22 points. Ivy League Player of the Year Nick Townsend, forward Isaac Celiscar and guard Casey Simmons all had 17 for the Bulldogs.
Yale (24-6, 11-3/Ivy) had won the Ivy League regular season title for the second straight year and entered the Ivy League tournament as the top seed. Penn (18-11, 9-5) was the No. 3 seed.
The Quakers earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament, their first since 2018.
